Bard Concert on September 3 at 7pm
For the first meeting of the season, Russian Heritage presents a concert of Russian music by “Bard” singer Valentin Vikhorev from St. Petersburg, Russia. The concert will begin at 7pm on September 3 at the Russian American Club (2920 Beach Boulevard) in Gulfport.
Valentin is well known in St. Petersburg as a composer, performer, and organizer of musical festivals. He will sing in Russian the best songs of the past fifty years in the Bard tradition.
After the concert and during the intermission there will be tea, coffee, and desserts, and a chance to meet Valentin and his wife who will also perform some of the songs with him.
Valentin is on tour that began in California and he comes to St. Petersburg after a concert in Sarasota. Let’s give him a real two St. Petersburgs welcome!
