Annual Mother’s Day Picnic

Traditionally May is a month of many wonderful celebrations for the Russian speaking community. For RH it is also a month for electing new board members. In 2022 we decided to dedicate our annual picnic to Mother’s Day. It was very heartwarming to see four generations of Russian speaking people get together and celebrate Mothers with home made cuisine, singing and dancing. Special thanks to our very own Julia Meyerovich and her friends from the Lithuanian Club for dedicating a Viennese Waltz and Charleston to all the women present. There was a fine blend of various ethnic backgrounds including Russians, Ukrainians, Kazakhs, Georgians, Lithuanians, Armenians and Americans at Large.
We also raised some money to support people affected by the ongoing tragedy in Ukraine. This year’s picnic was a success with many new members joining the organization who are willing to contribute to the rich and vibrant life of the Tampa Bay Florida community.
